Denise and Jan’s elopement took place in Deià, Mallorca, with the weekend moving between Belmond La Residencia, Port de Sóller, and the coastline near Llucalcari.
The ceremony was held at La Residencia, surrounded by stone buildings, olive trees, and views of the Tramuntana mountains. The florals were kept simple, with cream roses, soft pink blooms, and trailing silk ribbons. The stationery followed the same direction with deckled cotton paper and minimal typography.
Denise wore a custom modern strapless ivory gown and long veil, while Jan wore a light sand-colored suit with an open collar. The neutral tones worked naturally with the stone, gardens, and landscape around them.
After the ceremony, they headed to Port de Sóller and spent the afternoon on a wooden sailboat. There were plenty of photographs along the way, but also a lot of time spent swimming, jumping off the boat, and moving along the coast.
We continued near Llucalcari, where they spent the afternoon in the water and along the rocky coves. The photographs from this part of the day are more relaxed, including swimming, underwater images, and views of the coastline from above.
Dinner was back at La Residencia, set outside beneath the arches with the mountains in the distance. The table was kept fairly simple, with natural linens, orchids, candles, and large driftwood-inspired arrangements.
What stood out most about the weekend was how much they were able to actually experience it. The schedule left room to swim, explore, eat, and spend time together rather than moving from one photo opportunity to the next.
It was a very good way to spend a few days in Mallorca.
